The ice is all gone at Bradford Beach and North Point. Now all we need is to have a nice algae mat develop in advance of shorebird migration. * Still quite a few ducks hanging around, but just the usual suspects: Scaups, Goldeneyes, Buffleheads, Red-breasted Mergansers, Mallards. Many of them swimming very close to shore. * I did have one new 2011 walking BIGBY species. There was a Common Loon diving off of Bradford Beach. That's BIGBY species #76 for the year. * Saw a Cooper's Hawk making a late lunch of a small animal. Got some nice close-up views. Too bad my camera's being repaired. :-( Bernie Sloan Milwaukee #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
