I found a LEUCISTIC AMERICAN ROBIN on the south side of Waukesha this
afternoon around 1:30 pm. The bird is located on West Avenue in a grassy
field just north of the Ace Redi-Mix Concrete plant on the east side of
West Ave (near the intersection of West and Sunset Drive). The bird was
with a flock of about 15-20 other Robins and a few Killdeer. The bird is
about 50-50% white/gray feathers and is really striking. It's the first I
have ever discovered and thought others might be interested. You might want
to access this area by parking in Mindiola Park on Hoover Ave and walking
in from the east or from behind Murf's Frozen Custard, as there isn't any
parking on West Ave close to the grassy areas.
Also had my foy WOOD DUCKS this morning near Vernon Marsh.
