I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, but got some advice from a friend to get out for some fresh air. I took a 45 minute stroll through Lakeside Park and was surprised at the number of species I saw. I would actually consider this to be one of my best birding days ever. (Considering it was only 45 min birding time and only 4 blocks from home) List of Species include: American White Pelican Great Egret Mallard Ring-Billed Gull CASPIAN TERN Forster's Tern Mourning Dove RED-HEADED WOODPECKER (I didn't even know they were in the county!) Eastern Phoebe Warbling Vireo American Crow Tree Swallow Northern Rough-Winged Swallow Cliff Swallow Barn Swallow Swainson's Thrush American Robin Cedar Waxwing Tennessee Warbler Nashville Warbler Yellow Warbler Chestnut-Sided Warbler Cape May Warbler Yellow-Rumped Warbler Palm Warbler Blackpoll Warbler Black and White Warbler Chipping Sparrow Brown-Headed Cowbird Common Grackle PINE SISKIN (are they common this time of year?) American Goldfinch House Sparrow AND THE REASON THIS WAS MY BEST DAY BIRDING EVER..... NO FREAKIN STARLINGS! :) Joey Reichhoff Fond du Lac #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the WISBIRDN list.
