Hi all, I am able to check the Des Plaines River crossing at Hwy. N in Kenosha Co. for gulls, etc. everyday in the afternoon. While the numbers are not nearly as spectacular as last year, there still are a few good gulls present. Tuesday afternoon I found four Lesser Black-backed, one 1st winter Thayer's, and one 1st winter Iceland Gull among the hundreds of Herring and Ring-billed. And no Peter, try as I might, I haven't been able to produce the California Gull that was there March 11th, 2010!
