I shouldn't need to warn people not to respond to odd emails. Megan's account
was obviously hacked. In this particular instance, she most likely has a
Yahoo.com address, which is why it doesn't show up in the address bar.
Therefore, responding is a moot point (even I can't do it.)
Due to ongoing security issues with Yahoo (it's atrocious,) that was the
solution the techies at Freelists came up with to allow us to keep the Yahoo
addresses on the list. However, listowner Tom Sykes strongly suggests that
those members consider switching to another free email account, such as gmail,
at least for the purposes of subscribing to Wisbirdn. We've already had to stop
accepting subscriptions from aol.com addresses for the same reason, and it's
getting to that point with Yahoo, as well. The next time all of the yahoo.com
addresses are booted off by the Freelists.org server, it's likely Tom won't let
them back on.
