Subject: eBird/Atlas training session- Minocqua- April 30
The following is an announcement for a special eBird/Atlas training session in
Minocqua this Saturday. Hope to see some of you there!!
Join me and several area WBBA II county coordinators for a special eBird and
Atlas training session in the great north woods of Wisconsin on Saturday, April
30th! I'll lead a field trip at 9am looking for northern birds and migrants,
meet at the Trig's parking lot in Woodruff at 9am. Then, we'll use a classroom
at Kemp Natural Resources Station to learn the basics of eBird data entry and
how to eBird for WBBA II. The training session will last until 1pm. Bring a
laptop or tablet if you have one. If you don't, no worries because there will
be several available for use. Feel free to come to only the training session if
you cannot attend the field trip. In that case, meet at Kemp Natural Resources
Station office at 11am. Anybody is welcome, this is particularly perfect for
those who haven't eBirded or atlased yet or would like to improve their skills.
Kemp NRS is offering their discounted research rate of $22/night for anybody
who wants to stay at the excellent lodging facilities on Friday night. Contact
Tom for details. So, if you don't live nearby, make it a weekend trip! Please
RSVP to me at jjprestby@xxxxxxx<mailto:jjprestby@xxxxxxx> by April 29.
