It seems odd to have a picture of an exotic species. I do not know how
many places in the US it has been introduced or there are escapes but I
do know that folks in southern Wisconsin have some concerns that they
are getting reports of nesting Great Tits as well as European Goldfinches.

Want to welcome spring birds? Now is the time to put up nest boxes and
clean out old ones.

Youâve seen them nailed to trees, stuck to the sides of fence posts,
and propped up on poles near the edges of ponds. Youâve probably even
watched a livestream of what goes on inside them. But do you know how
to make one yourself?
Weâre talking about nest boxes, those wooden bird houses with holes
for front doors. As we welcome back spring birds, now is a great time
to put up homes for migrating birds. Learn more about nest boxes and
how to build one here.
