Http://dnr.wi.gov/wnrmag/html/stories/2005/aug05/eworm.htrr Just type in "earthworm" in the search. This may be easier? My understanding is we have native earthworms, but they be rare and limited. Most species we see are not native!! A friend and I are debating whether earth worms are native to WI or not. I seem to remember reading something about ovenbirds and other birds that nest in leaf litter losing the litter due to the introduction of earth worms, especially in northern WI. Can someone please send me some info on this?
