At least four Chimney Swifts chittering over downtown Fort Atkinson earlier
this evening! I was there to present the city with their Bird City Wisconsin
awards and heard the swifts arrived there yesterday.
On another note, we added a bird to our "from the yard" list. A Wild Turkey
walked through the yard behind us while we were having supper (we are at least
a mile in any direction from any reasonable turkey habitat). This makes 41 FROM
the yard plus 111 IN the yard for a total of 152 for a 1/10 acre yard.
