Seen today by Tom & I in the Northern Kettle Moraine in Fond du Lac County (all but three of these species seen were single individuals): Along Haushalter Lane - HOODED & BLACK-THR BLUE WARBLER (a male) In the Mauthe Lake area - PALM, BLACK-THR GREEN, MAGNOLIA, BAY-BREASTED, and BLACKPOLL WARBLERS, AMER REDSTART, & COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. A BLUE-HEADED VIREO was also associated with this flock and a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK was seen nearby. 2 CATTLE EGRETS were seen on Friday 9/16 in Winnebago Co. while scanning Long Point Island. HORNED & PIED-BILLED GREBES, GREAT EGRETS, D-CR CORMORANTS, BONAPARTE'S GULLS, and FORSTER'S TERNS were on the water or flying by and a mixed flock of LESSER SCAUP and REDHEADS was present too. The assortment of birds was stirred up by two immature BALD EAGLES.
