After their initial discovery on Tuesday, Nick Anich and I relocated the two first-cycle kittiwakes on late Wednesday afternoon but no sign of the adult. They were very distant to the north of Memorial Park in Washburn. This morning before work I relocated one of the first-cycle birds very close to the Washburn coaldock/marina but it was present for just a short time. Visibility, however, was extremely poor (heavy snow/fog) and I couldn't see much. Despite extremely dismal lighting early this morning I finally managed some documentation photos of a first-cycle bird. http://www.pbase.com/rbrady/image/131002579 http://www.pbase.com/rbrady/image/131002574 http://www.pbase.com/rbrady/image/131002571 A full gallery of 14 pics is at: http://www.pbase.com/rbrady/blki2010 In the full gallery, I included some very distant and poor images of the ADULT bird from Tuesday: http://www.pbase.com/rbrady/image/131002587 http://www.pbase.com/rbrady/image/131002585 Also of note this morning was a first-cycle GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL, which believe it or not is only our 4th ever on Chequamegon Bay!
