Yes, this Door County bird was accepted by the WSO Records Committee as a
Tropical/Couch's Kingbird. I meant that neither species has been accepted to
species level in the state.

Hello Tom!
We had one of these birds at the Door Islands bird festival of 2011,
specifically on Rock Island on June 5, 2011 .
It was first seen/identified by Roma Lenehan and Charles Naeseth. No sounds
were heard from the bird.
Many photos taken and sent around to expert birders but no specific i.d..
It was found after a strong SW wind-storm the night before.

Just got off the phone with Nick Anich who's group found a TROPICAL/COUCH'S
Kingbird in Washburn. It's at Thompson's West End Park in the RV Park. He said
it's moving around a lot. The bird has not vocalized so there is no clear ID
yet-- either would be a first state record.
