Add 3 N. Mockingbirds and now a Blue-winged Warbler to the Chequamegon Bay
Birding & Nature Festival rarity list!
The mockingbirds include one in Ashland, another in Washburn, and another at
Little Sand Bay north of Bayfield. Reported by Alex Lehner, Sarah Sabatke, and
Ben Baldwin, respectively.
The Blue-winged Warbler, my first in Bayfield County, is an apparently pure
female just a bit north of the N. Great Lakes Visitor Center. It was found
yesterday by Mike Hines and relocated today by Cody Christenson.
No sightings today, to my knowledge, of the Tropical/Couch's Kingbird or Lark
Bunting.
And still another day of the festival to go!
