Would have thought the eagles would have moved on by now, but there were still 50+ birds roosting amidst the trees this evening at Thousand Islands Nature Center. Almost all of them were immature. There were also more than 200 Bonaparte's Gulls feeding along the edge of where the unusually shallow rapids for April enters the main river channel. Several dozen pelicans, the usual waterfowl, a pair of Sandhills, and a few Yellow-rumps moving through rounded out the observations from Kaukauna this evening.
