Subject: SDVOB Contractor - Assistance Requested

Dear Mr. Kolsun,

I understand that you are knowledgeable in the area of SDVOB contracting. I
am writing to ask your advice regarding a solicitation (summary below) that
will be announced as a HUBZone Set Aside on or about August 25, 2008.

Are you aware of anything I can do to try to change this to SDVOB or even to
a Small business status so that I may be able to compete for the bid?

As the owner of a SDVOB Cleaning Company in the Portland, Maine area I am
finding it increasingly difficult to obtain contracts. It certainly does
not appear to me that 3% of the contracts are SDVOB. Of the few Federal
cleaning contracts available in this area, they seem to be either HUBZone or
8A. In some cases large out of state companies obtain the contracts, and in
addition the contracts are put out for 5 - 10 year periods. All of this is
having an impact on my business.

I appreciate anything you can share with me, and thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Sherry Doherty
