question

Hi Dmytro,

It was as I expected a 2byte character code.

At offset 0x5C5B you have the command "<ESC>&t38P" which sets the "Text
Parsing Method" to 38. This makes the byte at 0x5CEC (0x80) the lead
byte of a 2byte char code -> 0x800C

You can read more about the "Text Parsing Method" command in the "PCL5
Comparison Guide" section 2-32 "Printer-Specific Differences - HP
LaserJet 4PJ Printer"

Regards,
Christoph
