Thanks, Eric.

Followed the instructions below.  Got message the changes in registry had taken 
effect.  At that point I 
had the original Recycle Bin icon and the new icon (generic flying windows).  
Maybe dumb me, but I 
deleted the old Recycle Bin icon and rebooted, for some reason thinking upon 
reboot the RB icon 
would take the place of the flying window.  No such luck.  When I click on the 
new icon I get a list of the 
files in recycle bin and can - by highlighting all and right click, delete - 
delete the files.  This is not the 
original action of Recycle Bin.

Did I do something wrong?
Can I correct it?
Or - must I live with it as it is now?
