I WAS able to get the USB1.1 ports working again by rolling back to before
the intallationg of the Intel USB driver so that USB 2.0 was supported. But
then the 2.0 ports dont work again.. They are all on the same motherboard.
Why cant i have computer harmony? =]

Nope.
The motherboard - A giga-byte ga-8iexp doesnt have much as far as being able
to turn stuff on or off or even control the IRQs. Another webisite
recommneding trying to turn ACPI off and then trying it, but i cant turn
that off either!
