That was me as well. I never did fix it ;-) I'm using the task scheduler which allows me to specify which username is to be used to execute scheduled tasks, except I can't any more. "Old" tasks are fine but I can't create new ones or edit any of those "old" ones without the error appearing. The fact that some tasks work OK until I try to edit them is comfusing me. -----Original Message----- From: Costanzo, Ray [mailto:rcostanzo@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 14 October 2003 13:44 To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: Trouble running scheduled tasks This came up here before. Maybe this will be of help. //www.freelists.org/archives/windows2000/07-2003/msg00079.html Ray at work -----Original Message----- From: Angus Macdonald [mailto:Angus.Macdonald@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Several of my W2K boxes cannot run new scheduled tasks. Old tasks are fine but if I add a new one or edit an existing task I receive an error message "The device is not currently connected but it is a remembered connection" and I cannot set any username details for the task. Needless to say, such tasks do not run. **************************************************************************** ****************************** The information contained in this e-mail message is intended only for the personal and confidential use of the recipient(s) named above.
