You could try this:

1. Uninstall SUS completely and delete all associated directories
2. Go to add/remove windows components and remove IIS
3. Run system file checker (type sfc /scannow from a command prompt)
4. Reinstall IIS
5. Reapply SP3 for Windows
6. Install SUS and resyncronise.

If this doesn't work and you're still getting weird errors you may have
to call PSS or reinstall Windows.
