Sorry, didn't realise you've already checked the directory listing option. You 
can try these as well:

1.      Make sure user has Manager printer rights
2.      Re-share the printer using the Add Printer Wizard, which then 
automatically publishes the printer to AD when you choose to share it.
3.      Failing that, you can enable automatic printer publishing in AD via the 
Group Policy "Automatically publish new printers in Active Directory" and 
"Allow printers to be published"
4.      Check if those PCs that cannot locate the published printers are able 
to read long share names. If not, then give the printer a short share-name.

I believe you have to publish it in AD before it is shown on Directory Listing. 
There is a tick box to say "List in the Directory" which essentially publishes 
it.

One of my users shares out her HP LaserJet 5 printer on the network.  When she 
shares it out, and checks the "List in Directory" box.

But, for some reason, it isn't showing up and people go to add a network 
printer. 

Why?
