Sorry, didn't realise you've already checked the directory listing option. You can try these as well: 1. Make sure user has Manager printer rights 2. Re-share the printer using the Add Printer Wizard, which then automatically publishes the printer to AD when you choose to share it. 3. Failing that, you can enable automatic printer publishing in AD via the Group Policy "Automatically publish new printers in Active Directory" and "Allow printers to be published" 4. Check if those PCs that cannot locate the published printers are able to read long share names. If not, then give the printer a short share-name. Hope that helps mate. -----Original Message----- From: Ibrahim, Mustafa [mailto:Mustafa.Ibrahim@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 27 July 2004 22:03 To: 'windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [windows2000] Re: One of my users is having a hard time shari ng her printer I believe you have to publish it in AD before it is shown on Directory Listing. There is a tick box to say "List in the Directory" which essentially publishes it. -----Original Message----- From: windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [ mailto:windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> ]On Behalf Of Joanne Determann Sent: 27 July 2004 12:04 To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: One of my users is having a hard time sharing her printer Can they add it by share name? When she shares it out, and checks the "List in Directory" box. But, for some reason, it isn't showing up and people go to add a network printer.
