Does the Tivo TurboNet card not work in the US? My UK friends all rave
about it:

I haven't bought myself a Tivo yet, so I haven't gotten around to trying...

Well, I looked at Tivo and went with the Ultimate TV. It's pretty damn
awesome. I too agree that it should use an Ethernet port, mine uses the
phone line as well. Another point, Tivo did allow one to forgoe the =
monthly
charge with a $200 one time (lifetime) charge know?

Lastly, I surely wish it came with an RF remote... The damn frog thing
drives me nuts!!!

I completely agree. I can understand why there's a service charge =
though,
since they have to gather all that data from all the cable companies and
everything. But the dial-up thing, that's just lame. And for me, it's =
a
long distance call. So having two TiVos call long distance every day =
really
sucks. I only let them call once a week though. With all the stuff =
that
Replay TV can do, TiVo will HAVE to make some significant changes. I =
guess
I could just get an XP Media computer. Nah, not yet.
