Most folks don't work in both worlds, so I don't normally suggest things for
cross platform beyond FTP.  I've used some MKS tools, but never across the
'Net via VPN, tho concieveably, it should work just fine.

Robocopy does indeed support using ip addresses... robocopy
\\172.24.24.194\share \\192.168.194.1\copytoshare /e /purge /z /r:1000
/log+:copy.log
