[windows2000] Java x64 for use with IE7-64?

Does anybody else have the same troubles as me installing 64b java to be used
with 64b IE7? I mean I can install it just fine, but it never works with eg

The only thing that works for me is to install 32b java to be used with the
32b-versions of IE7 and Firefox2. I'm installing the runtimes only.
You guys have any idea if this is windows or the browsers being daft?
