Excuse the cross post...

We are having a problem with our nightly backups.

Win2K file server
NTBackup running "Normal" backups only
Backing up various partitions on 10 servers through mapped drives.
Overland Storage single tape unit

This has been running fine for quite sometime, but in the last week we have
had NTBackup stop in the middle of the backup for no apparent reason. The
message in the backup log is always;
The network disk drive has stopped responding. Backup set aborted.

For Example-
Backup started on 7/20/2004 at 1:09 AM.
The network disk drive has stopped responding. Backup set aborted. Backup
completed on 7/20/2004 at 1:17 AM.
Directories: 112
Files: 3317
Bytes: 100,031,918
Time: 7 minutes and 41 seconds

I am not aware of any changes to this server.

I have recreated all of the backup jobs and power cycled the backup unit.
I have searched on both the MS site and Googled for the "The network disk
drive has stopped responding. Backup set aborted." and only managed a single
hit for the exact phrase and that was for an NT4 box from 1995.
I have checked the Event Viewer and only see the standard 8000 and 8001
messages.

I tried to run a manual backup for the two servers not backed up last night
and received the same message.

Has anyone run into this before or have suggestions?
