The biggest cause of component failure is either mechanical breakdown or
heat problems, both of which can be caused by excessive dust.  You might
be able to do an ROI statement which would show it would save money over
the next three years etc.  Probably won't get you up to clean room
status, but a retail grade air cleaner or two would probably be a
reasonable investment.  I've been lobbying for one here actually.
