after looking around I don't see it after all. I just hide the c drive from
them outright. All they see are the mapped drives. Would that work for you?

Just in case - I do not mean the 'Shared Folder" part as that seems to be only
about the publishing in AD - or does that cover the actual capability of
sharing a folder?

Is there a way to remove file and folder sharing capability for end users by
using a GPO? We want to prevent end users to open a backdoor for viruses by
creating network shares on their machines? I am browsing through my GPO's but
do not see a setting.
