-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, Thought I'd share this: I have had problems on and off with eg archivers not working correctly with Windows Explorer, specifically the Explorer-extensions. Most notably WinRAR and Winzip have these problems, despite the respective companies state that they support WinXP x64. Anyway, I downloaded and installed the latest versions of WinRAR (v3.70) and Winzip (v11.1 build 7466) and then started Windows Explorer x64. Right-clicking a txt-file did not show any winzip or winrar context menus(...). Downloaded and installed 7-Zip v4.47 x64-beta. Started Windows Explorer x64 again and right-clicked a file. And there they were; context menus for 7-Zip, Winzip and WinRAR. No idea why they showed up after installing 7-Zip and not before... Windows Explorer x86 does not show any archive-related context menus... In any case, during my search I came across a nice x64-focused software site: <<<http://www.start64.com/index.php>>> that contains all x64-related stuff, articles, software etc. [soapbox mode on] Hope this helps somebody. Personally I'm really fed up with this "x64-non-supported-software-we-might-support-this-in-our-next-release-replies" I keep getting from eg Winzip et al... WinXP x64 has been out since 2005 for god's sake!!
