Can't remember where I got it, but I have a zip file called "
unixtoolsforwindows.zip" which has windows versions of stuff like wget,
md5sum, etc. Have a search, you should find it - I've not used it on win64
for very long, but it appears to work okay

Guys,

For the last month or so I've been trying to find a utility for winxp x64
that's able to check md5 and sha1 hashes. So far the applets have failed
that
they either don't show the correct hashes(!) or that they don't wotk with
winxp x64 windows explorer shell.

I've tried

eXpress CheckSum Verifier:
http://www.irnis.net/soft/xcsv/

MD5 Summer:
http://www.md5summer.org/

CyoHash:
http://www.cyotec.com/resources/cyohash/

Hashtab:
http://beeblebrox.org/hashtab/

Neither of the are working properly. For example I have this Fedora Core 5
iso-image. When run through some of the checksummers above, the image is
reported as bad since the hash failed. Booting the dvd and running a test
before installing from it, reports the media is fine. Go figure...

Therefore I'd like to know what you guys use for checking hashes.

TIA.

Sorin
