Just got this off one of my other lists... Heads Up. Hello All, Surprisingly, there didn’t seem to be a lot of media coverage of this but tomorrow night the DNSSEC security upgrade will be completed on all of the internet’s root servers. This could have some serious results with locations that have older equipment running their networks. Here is a link detailing the security changes that will occur: http://www.itnews.com.au/News/173746,last-minute-checks-for-dnssec-upgrade.aspx To check to see if you will be affected by these changes, the following site has a very simple Java app that will test your location. The page also describes what each result from the test means. http://labs.ripe.net/content/testing-your-resolver-dns-reply-size-issues For those more familiar with a UNIX like system, the following link gives the commands to do a similar test: https://www.dns-oarc.net/oarc/services/replysizetest Regards Jim Kenzig http://www.kenzig.com
