the sound solution plugin for winamp

Hi There!
Can anyone recommend what boxes should be checked or unchecked in the sound solution plugin? I'm trying to find a good compresser that will sound good for my shows. I've been using the dsp enhanser, and while it is good, it adds a lot of base to the music. I had someone perform on my show tonight, and that extra base caused some distortion, so I'm trying to find either a compresser better than the enhanser, or to figure out what settings would be best to make the enhanser not have so much base. A lot of these configuration windows don't read as well as I wish they would with Jaws.
Any help would be appreciated.
From David

Hi Again,

I forgot to add that v1.2 is the best version of the volumeLogic plugin.

Hi bob,

If you do a left or right arrow and bring one of the presets into focus, you
should se the text of the title of the preset via your Jaws cursor. You
want to custom highlight the colours of that text. E.G. you choose the
small speaker preset, then you should see "small speaker" whilst poking
around with your jaws cursor. Highlight that by putting your jaws cursor on
it then use the custom highlight colours manager to do the rest.

Hi David. It's weird. When I was looking at volume Logic when I had it
installed, I found nothing at all in the Volume Logic window using JAWS. I
didn't even find anything for which I could set a custom highlight.

Hi bob,

I don't understand why you can't get VolumeLogic to work. You just have to
configure custom highlight colours while you are in the main VolumeLogic
window and then the presets will be read out to you as you move your arrow
left or right. To access VolumeLogic, go to system tray and do alt+d for
double click then alt+tab to VolumeLogic window. Mind you, you wouldn't
use
VolumeLogic for broadcasting purposes as it is an output plugin rather than
a dsp plugin. However, it is fantastic for music listening purposes. I
use
it all of the time.

Maybe the following shortcut keys will help and here they are:
Following shortcut keys are active from VolumeLogic main window.

V - activates Volume Logic (bypass)
M - hides/shows the meters
-/+ - more/less drive
[/] - more/less bass boost
Up/Down arrows - more/less volume
Left/Right arrows - switch presets

Subject: Octimax/volume Logic.

Hi all. From what I can tell, Octimax now seems to be called volume
Logic. I decided to try it out so I downloaded it from Winamp's
site. After installing it, the only part of it that appears to be
accessible with the latest version of JAWS is the nag screen. Once you're
in the Volume Logic, exploring the window with the JAWS cursor reveals
nothing. Clicking on the configure button for the plugin from within the
winamp preferences only seems to allow you to change what I suspect is the
output plugin that volume Logic feeds its processed audio through. Any
advice as to how to use this thing would be appreciated. for now, I have
completely uninstalled it because, even when you deactivate it as the
active output plugin, the stupid nag screen still comes up every time you
start winamp.
