Two Welcome Type Messages From Free Lists?

Hi List,

Apparently, I am now subscribed to the new address for the list. I got two
messages that purport to be welcome messages. The first is some sort of
command conformation--this after I had made the obligatory reply. The
second was a standard welcome message containing valuable information about
the list itself.

My question is: will we always be getting these command conformation
messages from Free Lists every time we change a status of the list? This
seems a bit redundant.

Thanks.
