  As far as the crossfader is concerned, when encoding, making sure that you do 
not have the audio pipeline box checked.  I have my sound card checked.

        Hi.  Two things.  First, please read the name of the plugin carefully.  
It
        is Octimax, not Optimax.  Second, Octimax is a multiband 
compressor/limiter
        and, in my opinion, the best in the business.  this discussion comes up
