Some of the construction contractors working on Sussex have been demanding that residents pay them in cash for repairs to sidewalks, driveways, etc. A neighbor spoke this morning to Tom Hargis from the Baltimore County Bureau of Highways, who stated unequivocally that residents should not pay any workers for any repairs. He said that he has directed the contractor to tell his workers to stop soliciting, but it appears that this practice is continuing. If a worker persists in seeking payment for repairs, residents may want to call Tom Hargis directly at (410) 887-3560.
