Dear neighbors in Wiltondale, Overbrook, and Knollwood-Donnybrook:
You may have noticed the new red signs lining the 600 block of Stevenson Lane,
asking drivers who rocket down our street like they were shot out of a cannon
to please “Drive Like Your Kids Live Here.”
We as neighbors are taking further action this Saturday, November 5th from 1-3
p.m. and we invite the whole neighborhood to join us.
Next Saturday, from 1-3 p.m. we will hold our first Speeding Awareness Day. On
the sidewalks of 600-624 Stevenson, we’ll be holding signs and waving to the
cars passing by. We’ve made signs that say: “Please Slow Down” and “Kids Live
Here.” You can use our signs, or you can make your own signs. I also have a few
that say: “This is a neighborhood, not NASCAR.”
Please join us, and please publicize this event on the neighborhood Facebook
pages, Next Door, and through any means possible. THANK YOU for your help in
getting people to slow down to a safer speed on Stevenson!!!!
