The JOB DESCRIPTION : The job role would involve you to play a leadership role in the delivery of products. They are driven by the needs of the customers, and Product Managers must take the lead in making sure that the product reflects this deep understanding. Specifically, you will research customers' needs by talking directly with them, gather and analyze customer feedback, interface with internal teams that have direct customer contact, and conduct primary market research. Based on your research, you will develop product roadmaps, and assume responsibility for plan execution. You should be able to model, and project P&L implications of new products, establish clear pricing strategies for all target markets, and provide and/or present key product metrics, industry trends, and the competitive landscape. You will recommend the marketing messages associated with products and ensure that product information is communicated internally. You will manage one Program Manager and one UI Designer, creating a team that designs, specs, and conducts usability tests of new products based on your product roadmap and your product vision. You will ensure your team is on strategy and on time with all product deliverables. You will report to the VP of Product Management, and work with her to develop the product roadmap. Requirements · Total experience - minimum 6 years in Product Management · Qualification: MBA from reputed institutes. · This position requires a balance between strategic thinking and hands-on web product design. You must be able to fluidly move between both modes. · Experience project managing complete product cycles and on-time execution to a product roadmap. Proven leadership skills and a track record of successful team work. · E-commerce, consumer or portal development / management experience a must. · Management experience is required. You must have either managed a UI Designer previously or worked closely with one to understand the role. Familiarity with web design principles is a must. · Knowledge of usability testing methodologies and their merits. Conduct testing when needed. · Ability to quickly translate business decisions into product plans and execute. · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. · Exceptional pricing analysis & working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. · Experience working with American end-users and with a remote office a plus. · Enthusiastic, self-starter, and detail-oriented.
