[webproducers] Re: Discussion: Rates for Web Producers in NY

Hi all,
Depends on the producer level. $35/hour to $75 generally, assuming the role is
essentially a line Producer on the Web project. If the Producer is senior level
or there is much client interaction, I would say it would tend toward the
higher end.

This is excluding, say, Executive Producer.

Great question. We did a survey about a year ago that started out of
a questions like this but a lot has changed in the industry in a year
(and a lot hasn't).

Averages are always tough either salary or hourly (in my opinion)
because of the range of roles and responsibilities. That said, there
are some good resources like the Aquent salary survey http://
www.designsalaries.com/downloads.html and you might even check our
Web Producers Org. Archives, as there was a bit of discussion on this
and some replies in Jan of 2007 //www.freelists.org/archives/
webproducers/

Any body care to share the rates they know for hourly contract
producers in NY? I'm guessing NYC right?
