Tim, using your logic then WMC shouldn't exist as well as a hoard of other
features that are non-essential to core Windows corporate support. Sure
corporate seats are important but there is a world beyond the cubicle
drones of modern offices. When Windows gives up on the consumer space, then
by all means rip out all this fiddly stuff that you disdain.

I also do challenge your assertion that USB Audio is a niche. Do you call
Hollywood, the Music Industry, Recording studios, etc all niche players
just to name a few? They all could leverage and use USB Audio 2.0 very
effectively
