Ok, I read http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/stream/ hh/stream/pcdesign_4s9z.asp ... but it doesn't tell how to set a default volume via a driver INF file. If I do a registry diff of the registry before and after changing the volume via the mixer slider, I can see that the setting is stored in HKR,,Mixer\2\Controls\0 in the Channel0 and Channel1 values. If I set those values explicitly via my inf - it doesn't seem to work, the mixer doesn't setup his device parameters until I manually go in and change a volume. Is there a secret way to set a default volume of a device in an INF file?
