Dear Trevor,
You will be more than welcome to join us but a word of warning. For a computer group there are many meetings when there is no computer in sight ! We have become, over the years, just a group of like minded people who still own and operate RiscOs machines in one form or another but who meet for a chat and coffee. Our members are now using a mix of native RiscOs machines, but some, like myself, have moved to Macs with VRPC, and one member is heavily into Linux. A common thread is that we all avoid Windows unless we absolutely have to. I'm not sure that I would describe myself as the "organiser" - I just provide the venue and the coffee and biscuits, and wait for the rest of the gang to turn up. If someone drags in a computer or a problem they need to discuss, then we do go into tekkie mode. We enjoy it, or we wouldn't still be going, and we will be happy to see you when you decide to come.
Best wishes
Graham Mottram

Hi

Just a little note to say hello from Bristol and that you can expect a visit from at least one of us at a forthcoming meeting.

As I think at least some of you may be aware, Vince Hudd and I have been looking into establishing a user group in Bristol - we currently have a mailing list running.

A couple or more of us are intending to come along to one of your meetings (as paying guests) to get a feel for what happens within such a group, and to hopefully have a brief chat with the organisers.

It'll probably be either your on 8th May or 19th June meeting.

Assuming that's OK with you, we'll be in touch to confirm nearer the time.

Thanks and we look forward to meeting you soon!

Regards

Trevor Johnson
