My question is: how can I get someone to flag two trees on Richmond Road as
"Hazard Trees?" I've mentioned the two giant dying trees with limbs that
are dangers to the traffic on the road several times to several officials
but nothing has happened. One large limb is dead but hung up on a small
tree in front of it. The other is just waiting for either a storm or
gravity to bring it down. They will block the road and if they land on
anyone or a car travelling south on Richmond Road, there is potential
danger.

Subject: Hazard Tree Designated on Orange Rd
As you may kno= w, our Tree Warden has resigned. A logger wants to cut a
pine tree more or less across the road from th= e Old Hubbard Place but on
the cemetery side of the road. I have looked at it and consulted with the
Hi= ghway Boss and Town Coordinator. We agree the tree should be classified
as a Hazard Tree. I have flagged it with Blue and White Str= iped Flagging.
Note, that th= is is a change from our standard technique of flagging hazard
trees with Bl= ue flagging. This new protoc= ol is because there is now a
movement in support of police where trees are = flagged in blue and this
could create confusion.
