In the last 2 years there have been 12 valid sales where houses or a lot
which now has a new house changed hands. 9 of those sales were to much
younger people than had owned the house previously and three (that I know
of for sure) have children. There is a sale coming up in the next month or
two where the buyers have a 2 year old and the previous owner is single.
This does not seem to say that we are gaining older people.

The confusion lies in the fact that we have a downtrend in population of
50% with the age group between 20 and 40 and a uptick of almost 80% in
growth of the population 55 and over ,which means we have more older
people moving in (like myself) and more younger people moving out. Not
exactly a recipe for stability in population. we need to get more families
to move here .
