Theme:
How to Measure Recovery in Substance Abuse & Mental Health
(How do we recover or help other people recover from mental health
and/or substance abuse issues?)
What we will learn:
1. How to understand and explain outcomes to recover from mental health
and substance abuse problems.
2. What is stigma and how different people think about recovery?
3. Paying attention to our strengths so that we can recover. What is a
strength-based plan?
4. Empowering consumers and family members for recovery.
5. How we can support consumers with mental health or substance abuse
problems and what does good, right treatment mean?
6. What is needed for full services and support for people with mental
health and/or substance abuse problems?
7. What are things we can do to improve worthwhile, excellent and
successful services?
Who should attend: Everyone who works with mental health or substance
abuse services AND everyone who experiences mental health and/or
substance abuse problems.
Hotel:
A block of rooms at the Holiday Inn and Convention Center has been
reserved at the state rate for a single, currently $62, and $82 for a
double. The rooms will be held until October 7, 2006. Please make your
reservations directly with the Holiday Inn by calling 715-344-0200. Be
sure to mention that you are with the Mental Health and Substance Abuse
