When: Saturday, October 21st, 2006
Where: Fox Valley Technical College
1825 N. Bluemound Drive
Appleton, WI
We will have our annual silent auction
AND featuring special guest: Ricky Smith
About Ricky Smith:
Originally from Batavia, New York, Ricky studied Commercial Art and
Communication at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He likes to keep
the fact that he has been deaf since early childhood a surprise until
the end of his performance. While working full-time at a New York
Advertising firm, Ricky's interest in performance grew, along with his
popularity as a mime. Eventually, his quiet hobby shaped an artistic
career. Ricky's art awakens children's imaginations as his audiences
learn to communicate their feelings and express their ideas visually.
Ricky delighted audiences around the world for over 20 years as a
professional mime.
Ricky has appeared on the Today show, Good Morning America, and Real
People, as well as on Strawberry Square, an educational TV program.
Ricky has studied with internationally recognized mime-artist Marcel
Marceau, and has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and
Japan. Ricky is ready to take new audiences on tour through his world of
mime.
