SIX UPCOMING EVENTS IN FORT WAYNE – PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND PLAN

Where are all the deaf people?
Why are there never any deaf people in attendance at any of these deaf
functions? If these events are not what you want, then PLEASE tell us
what you want!! Who do you tell?? TELL ME!!!!
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!!
1. VR-101 TRAINING – LBD – APRIL 14TH –FREE FOOD!!! – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Come learn about Vocational Rehabilitation, learn your rights, learn how
to file a complaint – very important here!! More details about this can
be found under the “What’s Up!” website – see details at the bottom of
this e-mail.
2. NIDAC MEETING APRIL 14TH – 7 p.m.
Come join us for Social Night AND to “hear” Mark Gessinger “speak” about
the BlackBerry 8703e.
3. DEAF FORUM – APRIL 17th – 6 p.m.
This is the 1st anniversary of LBD taking over from AWS – very important
celebration for the Deaf in Fort Wayne!! LBD has done MANY great things
in ONE year of service – WOW!! Come celebrate, have cake with us, AND
hear what Nancy Becher, Guest speaker from the Police Department, has to
say!
4. DEAF CHAT COFFEE – APRIL 19TH – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Panera Bread, Coliseum Blvd – next to Bob Evans -- Fort Wayne has TWO
deaf chat coffees every month – one out south and one out north – first
and third Thursday every month – no purchase is even necessary – just
come for an hour or so and chat – deaf people DO like to chat, right???
5. ASL MOVIE, “FORGET ME NOT” – APRIL 24TH – 6 P.M. TO 9 P.M. FREE!!!!
This movie, produced and directed by Mark Wood, containing all deaf
actors, will be shown on the IPFW Campus, in the Classroom Medical Bldg,
Room 159. No voice interpreters will be provided, no captions will be
provided. Meet the director afterwards!
6. OPEN CAPTIONED MOVIES
Did you know there are open-captioned movies at Regal Cinemas, Coldwater
Crossing Theatres??? Current movies being show for April are:
The Last Mimzy – April 9th
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – April 22, April 23
300 – April 29, April 30

TO STOP DIGEST AND GO BACK TO NORMAL EMAIL:
Send an email to wadnetpost-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unset digest" in the subject line. Leave
the body of the email blank. You will get a confirmation showing "unset digest" and "Flag
successfully set". And you'll go back to receiving normal emails from WADNet Post.
