Students will receive training on advocacy skills, assistive devices, civil rights, substance abuse prevention, goal settings, time management, and team building. Fun activities that we may experience include bowling, swimming, a court trail visit, and a rear window captioned movie. A large majority of the Deaf and hard of hearing presenters are leaders in their fields of work.

The Lions Club; Camp Chris Williams: we partner with the Lions District 11B-2, and it is a fun-filled traditional camping experience for children of Deaf adults (CODAs), Deaf or hard of hearing children, and their siblings, ages 8-14. Camp activities include LifeSkills Programs, horseback riding, swimming, canoeing, archery, craft building, drama, and Mini-Olympics. Camp is held at the Lake Sherman YMCA in Augusta Michigan on August 12-18. Mandatory training for all staff will be on August 11, 2007.
