This individual must be available between 8am-5pm Monday-Friday as the day(s) out during the week may vary to meet clinic need. This position will travel to all Dean clinic locations with primary travel to Riverview and Northview Clinics (in Janesville), Delavan and Milton Clinics.
Responsibilities include: Sign Language interpretation for Dean patients and employees. Educate staff to better understand deaf culture and/or how to communicate via tty, trs, vrs and email. Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct.
Minimum requirements are: high school diploma or equivalent with 5-7 years of relevant experience. Must have NAD level IV or V, RID and/or NIC. 3 years of previous medical interpreting experience preferred and working knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. The ability to use personal computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Program development and experience in and/or knowledge of insurance and billing helpful. Good public speaking skills, strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources preferred. Possession of WI Driver license, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel.
