She or he will also develop recommendations for strategic planning of U.S. ERD&D. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing at least two full-time postdoctoral research fellows and several research assistants; collaborating closely with ETIP's Director and other Harvard faculty and staff; developing and managing the project budget; and the timely achievement of project milestones and deliverables. Collaborating with colleagues, he or she will actively communicate research results and policy recommendations to key stakeholders in a range of forums: congressional briefings, meetings with business and NGO leaders and with researchers from other universities, in scholarly publications, and in the media.

*/ Required Education, Experience, and Skills/*

Candidates must have at least 5 years experience and a record of progressive achievement in some combination of: analyzing policy for publicly-funded ERD&D; developing and analyzing federal budgets for ERD&D; and strategic planning for ERD&D. Candidates should also have experience managing research teams and developing and administering research project budgets, and have excellent project management skills. The ERD&D Fellows will report directly to the ERD&D Project Manager at ETIP. They will provide core research support for the budget analysis and international comparison activities and will help shape the annual and comprehensive recommendations. The Fellows will also play a major role in the budget commentary and recommendation dissemination process, which may include meetings with relevant stakeholders in business, government, industry, and academia, as well as interviews with the media.

*/ Required Education, Experience and Skills /*

Applications for ERD&D Fellowships are welcome from recent Ph.D. recipients. The ideal candidate will have professional experience analyzing policy for publicly-funded ERD&D; developing and analyzing federal budgets for ERD&D; and/or strategic planning for ERD&D.
