Rehabilitation Teacher

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Provide assessment/instruction in communication, homemaking, and personal
management skills for persons with blindness or vision loss. Full-time
position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
◾Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Teaching/Vision
Rehabilitation Therapy or related field.
◾Certified as a CVRT through ACVREP.
◾Background in physical education desired.
◾CAPE certification preferred.

DUTIES:

Evaluate and provide instruction in one or more of the following areas to
adults who are blind or visually impaired:
◾Kinesiatrics (adapted physical education)
◾Leisure and recreation activities
◾Sensory training skills
◾Activities of daily living skills
◾Household arts skills
◾Communications
◾Household mechanics.
