Hi,
As a screen reader user, I would suggest a hard copy. I have adapted the free
visual PDF chart by Aroga Technologies. This may still contain some mistakes, I
forget if I fixed the ones I identified and I haven't read it in a while. This
is just a reference guide.
I talked to a friend of mine who said that he has down loaded the BANA brf
files for use on a braille display. He suggested that this would be preferable
to reading with a screen reader. My guess is that your client was attempting to
read the PDF version.
Also available are a book about UEB that can be purchased from AFB and the
Hadley course on transitioning to UEB.
Hope some of that helps.

Subject: [visionrehabtherapist] BANA UEB and screen readers
Question: I have a client who is proficient in braille and a screen reader
user. I told him to check out the BANA website to check out the changes with
UEB, but when he got to the part the lists punctuation and signs, a screen
reader doesn't read them well. Any suggestions where to send this client for
screenreader friendly UEB update info? Thanks!!
